Kathy Shuler is also 22 years old, from Ithaca, NY and a May college graduate. She attended the University of Dayton where she was a General Studies major. While at UD, Kathy was a peer advisor and participated in campus retreats. Kathy will minister as an Assistant to the Staff at Franciscan Northside Ministries and the Assumption Food Pantry.
“I admire the fact that in the FrancisCorps program there is time set aside every day for meals, prayer and recreation. I believe it is important to have that type of commitment and connection with those I will be living and working with. To have emotional and spiritual support to help each other grow in our faith as well as personal growth through a volunteer experience is definitely something I value and look for. I strongly believe that I will definitely have that kind of support though FrancisCorps and I am very excited to experience and be a part of it.”
